Happy Hump Day! This week is seriously flying by… and I leave on Saturday morning for Columbus, OH for work! So much to do before then…
Last night I went on a bike ride outside for the first time in AGES. I broke out my 1/2 marathon shirt even though I don’t love the way it fits…
Don’t mind my hair… 🙂
My goal for the ride was to keep every mile under 5:00 minutes, which can be tough because part of the ride was on streets with cars and stop signs, but I managed to do it! I have a hybrid, not a road bike, so its hard to keep up sometimes, and I was happy with the stats!
- Distance: 11.02 miles
- Duration: 49:46
- Avg. Pace: 4:30 min/mile
- Avg Speed: 13.3mph
- Calories: 673
It was my first real workout since the half, and I have to say I am kind of shocked at how not sore I am. Not complaining at all, just sayin’…
Also, today on my way to work, I was kind of surprised at how heavy my breakfast/lunch bag was…
And then, I looked inside…
And realized, I eat A LOT. Check out all the food I have with me for today….
- Beets
- Chickpeas
- Sweet Potato
- Red Onion
- Leftover Veggie Barley Soup
- Grapes
- Banana
- Pear
- Green Beans
- Dressing
- Bagel Thin w Slice of Cheese
Wowza. Breakfast was the toasted bagel thin (1 pt) with the cheese (1 pt) melted on top:
Plus the pear (1 pt):
Any guesses on what lunch is?
What do YOU have/are you planning to get for lunch today?

At least all of your food is super healthy!!
I’m running home for a hummus wrap for lunch today, my favorite.
Since I eat a lot of lower calorie foods (fruits, veggies, beans) I eat a ton too. I leave some stuff at work to last through the week but I also bring a lot in every day. I had to laugh at this post because last week I was carrying a ton of food into the lunch room and someone was like oh supplies for the week? I was like, um no, just today!
I’m going to guess lunch is soup with a sweet potato/bean salad!
haha! Love that someone asked if it was for the week.. I didn’t mention that I also have stuff in the fridge at work on top of what I bring in every day…
My lunch bag is always way heavier than my bag as well. What can I say? I also love to eat! 🙂
Lunch today is a FlatOut wrap (1point) with leftover Balsamic Chicken with Mushrooms (4 points), Cabot 75% red. fat cheese melted on top (1 point– I’ve seen that you use this too. All I know is it’s a lifesaver for me!), and 1/3 serving of Mushroom Orzo on the side.
I’m not gonna lie– I’m pretty pumped for lunch today.
My lunches are always so small it seems compared to most. But then again, my breakfast will totally beat up anyone else’s breakfast… lol I feel like my main meal happens most often in the morning… then it tapers down the rest of the day. Whatever works, right?
I totes eat a lot too! After my ravenous start yesterday, I had a bigger bfast today.
Light, high fiber english muffin, 2 Morningstar farm veggie sausage, Chobani greek yogurt (ff raspberry) (7 pts)
Snacks – Reduced Fat Triscuits- 30g (2pts), 1 cup grapes (1pt), apple slices (1pt), kashi bar (2pts)
Lunch – salad with 3 slices deli turkey (ff) (.5pt), shaved parm cheese – 14g (.5pt), 2 tblsp light italian dressing (1pt), croutons – 14g (1pt).
SO MUCH FOOD 🙂 But not so bad. I rock the lululemon bag – perfect lunch bag!
PS Do you find the gym bikes to be totally off? I’ve never timed a 20 mile bikeride outside, but did 20 miles in the gym in 1 hour. Seemed a little crazy!
I always have an assortment of food and tupperware that I bring to work. It takes up so much room!
I’m having leftovers from last night: homemade pizza topped with mozzarella, feta, kalamata olives, roasted red peppers and broccoli 🙂 ..and a peach. I love how varied your lunch is! So many food groups/colors covered!
Haha! I eat a lot too..my family and boyfriend always comment on how much I eat to lose/maintain my weight. I guess when you choose the right foods, you can afford to have a lot of volume! We would fit right in together!
I eat a lot too, and enjoy it 😉 I love love love fruits and veggies. This post makes me crave a pear- I havent had one in SO long. Enjoy your day 🙂
Meg
I always pack a lot of food and I have a drawer full of emergency food! No danger of me starving! Today I’m having leftover chicken and rice casserole and an asian pear.
I’ve been so behind on blog reading. I just heard about your nephews! My thoughts and prayers will be with them!
Over the weekend I made a 15 bean soup with ham and bacon. It turned out great but needless to say, I’ve been eating it for lunch all week and I’m sick of it! LOL
Yay on the biking! I have a hybrid, too – so I understand about the feeling of keeping up!
