Hey! I'm Beth - a 27 year old foodie living and working in the Washington, DC area who has lost almost 90 pounds through Weight Watchers. I love good food, wine and getting creative in the kitchen, and then balancing that out with running, The Shred, and yoga. Nonstop

Whew, what a weekend! It was very fun, but VERY busy, and we were literally going nonstop the whole time!

Saturday morning started bright an early with a 6:55am alarm so I could go work two meetings for Weight Watchers. I don’t normally work Saturdays, but I actually love working those meetings because it’s a great group and by noon you’re done for the day.

Immediately after I got out, I headed home, packed very quickly, and then Wil and I got on the road to Philly for my nephew’s baptism. We ended up hitting tons of traffic, and what should have been a two and a half hour trip turned into a four hour trip because of traffic – boo.  But we made it!

We had a delicious meal with lots of family at my sisters house and ended up hanging out there until 10ish.

Me with my sister Heather who lives in NYC:

Wil and I headed straight for the hotel and crashed hard when we got there because we were both so exhausted!

I woke up around 7:45 on Sunday and went out for a four mile run. The weather was PERFECT and it felt really good to be running – it was my first run in a week! Marathon training starts today, so I shouldn’t be able to say that again until November – crazy!

Anyway, after my run, we quickly got ready and headed to the baptism for my nephew Harper.

His gown for the baptism was SO cute and one that’s been in his dad’s family for quite a while.

I also got some QT with my other nephew, Ben.

As soon as the baptism was over, we hit the road to head back to DC. But it didn’t end there – we had a black tie event to attend!

I had to run out and find a dress and get ready in 45 minutes – no joke. I think I did pretty well, no?

That dress was also only $55 at Nordstrom Rack – score!

The event was the RAMMY’s – the restaurant association’s yearly award ceremony. The theme was Carnivale, so the details at the event were awesome, like the centerpieces at the table.

Wil and I had masks too, don’t worry!

It was a really fun event and lots of people from Wil’s work were there – many I’d met before, but some who were new-to-me so it was fun to meet a lot of them.

But now – somehow it’s Monday morning and the weekends over!?!

Have you been to a black tie event? What was the occasion?
